Infection Management with Routine Data (IMR)
In order to compile statistics in accordance with the requirements of the IfSG, a large amount of data from various sources must be compiled, analyzed and transferred to a report. Nevertheless, it is not easy to systematically evaluate important information such as the infection on which a germ detection was based or the economic impact. In particular, the search for systematic anomalies is predominantly very laborious manual work.
With the algorithm underlying our software product "Infection Management with Routine Data" - IMR for short - a large part of the information can be obtained from DRG routine data. Complex queries on the coded diagnoses are used to "decode" infections and pathogens from the coded data. Given the high coding quality in Germany, a realistic picture quickly emerges in this way.
You can see how many infections your patients have per year, which pathogens and germs occur with what frequency, and whether they were acquired on an outpatient or inpatient basis.
If the need for action becomes apparent, we work with you to define packages of measures that will have an impact on the health of your patients on the one hand and on the economic situation of your hospital on the other. The measures introduced are reviewed after 6 to 12 months by means of a renewed IMR analysis.
Infection distribution by origin - infection group level
IRM performs
- Structured infection and pathogen analysis based on your routine DRG data
- Determination of the economic risk
- Simulation of optimization potentials
